Oversees the distribution of news and multimedia content for the City across various digital platforms and external media outlets. Working alongside the Communications Director, guides collaborators to create content while monitoring, editing, noting, and/or approving content for distribution. Additionally, manages correspondence with the public on social and digital media platforms and assists in handling requests from external media. Assists in writing news releases.

Utilized available technology to engage all age groups within the parish. Worked closely with staff members and lay leaders to support and enhance communications among the ministry areas, in the church, and the community. Partnered with church and ministry leaders to convey their vision and communication priorities to appropriate audiences.

Supervised production and content delivery for three evening broadcasts for the ABC-TV affiliate in Abilene, TX. Previously, helped to develop and debut a two hour morning show. Regularly produced special newscasts, debates, election specials and town halls.

Posted press releases, wrote daily news content, managed/edited reporter content, live stream national events, live tweet during events, created innovative social media strategies, html and css coding, incorporated several mediums in news coverage.

Interim Assignments Manager | July 2014-September 2014

Approved reporter pitches, network and built contacts, helped reporters develop pitches, worked closely with lead producers for three television stations (KTAB, KRBC, Telemundo Abilene) The unique part of this experience was leading three stations without the presence of a news director.

Produced a lifestyle show including feature pieces, corresponding live shots, live interviews and production management. Managed reporter scripts and social media content. Wrote breaking news for three stations.
